SRMC Launches New Grateful Patient Program
October 4, 2017
Patients looking for a way to say "thank you" for the excellent care they or a family member received at Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) now have a new opportunity to express their gratitude with the launch of SRMC's Grateful Patient Program.
"There are countless ways and moments that members of SRMC's health care team make a difference in the lives of our patients," said Amy Manolio, SRMC Director of Development. "For those patients wanting to show their appreciation to the caregivers who played a special role in their hospital visit, the Grateful Patient Program offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting difference that will help others receive outstanding care."
How the Program WorksGrateful patients are invited to complete the Grateful Patient Program form and return it in the mail, and include the name of the physician and/or staff member they want to recognize as making a difference during their visit to SRMC.
"Our patients have the option of sharing a written message about their experience and/or making a donation in honor of a specific physician or staff member," Manolio added. "SRMC caregivers who are honored by a patient will receive a special recognition message and ID badge emblem."
How the Gifts HelpAccording to Manolio, Grateful Patient gifts are used to help the SRMC Foundation invest in the region's health by enhancing the hospital's programs, services, and facilities and underwriting the cost of new equipment and technology.
"Each gift of appreciation can make a significant difference for our patients not only now but into the future, while helping SRMC to achieve our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve."
