Community Health Needs AssessmentSalem Regional Medical Center was founded in 1913 to serve the changing health care needs of area residents; and during the past 100 years, the hospital has devoted significant resources toward identifying ways to address the communities' most-pressing health needs. Recently, the hospital collaborated with regional health care leaders to conduct the 2016 Columbiana County Health Needs Assessment (CCHNA), which will help guide future community benefit activities and strategic planning initiatives. The CCHNA was approved by the hospital's Board of Directors in June 2016.

Implementation PlanSalem Regional Medical Center has developed an Implementation Plan in response to the prioritized health care needs identified in the 2016 Columbiana County Health Needs Assessment (CCHNA). The Implementation Plan was approved by the Hospital's Board of Directors in November 2016, as a guide for implementing evidence-based strategies over the next three years aimed at improving the health status of the residents within SRMC's service area.
