Salem Regional Medical Center’s Outpatient Procedures department offers specialized outpatient treatments and procedures that can be scheduled with a physician’s order, including:

►Physician-Scheduled Procedures

Physicians can schedule patient visits in SRMC’s Outpatient Procedures area for:

• Biopsies and growth removals
• Care of wounds and skin abscesses
• Removal of excess fluids from the abdomen and lungs

►Pain Management Procedures

Mark Peckman, D.O., a Pain Management physician affiliated with SRMC’s medical staff, provides specialized therapies for managing pain resulting from arthritis, neck and back problems, herniated discs, stenosis, nerve disorders, cancer, fibromyalgia and shingles. These therapies are provided in the Outpatient Procedures department located on the first floor and include:

• Nerve blocks and pain blocks
• Epidural and trigger point injections

►Other services include pulse oximetry, weight checks, culture collection and Foley catheter insertion
