SRMC volunteers are very special people who have one thing in common: they want to help others and make a difference. Our volunteers are retirees, professionals, homemakers, students and people of all backgrounds, who live in our surrounding communities.
Mobile Meals of Salem partners with SRMC to provide meals to housebound residents in Salem and Perry Township. Volunteers meet at SRMC to pick up the meals and deliver them to clients, usually working in teams of two. Meals are delivered Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., and volunteer drivers are typically assigned a schedule of between 2 - 4 days a month.
Mobile Meals volunteers receive a free lunch provided by the hospital after completing their deliveries for the day. For more information on becoming a Mobile Meals volunteer, visit www.salemmobilemeals.com or call the Mobile Meals Coordinator at 330-332-2160.
Congratulations to our 2022 SRMC Volunteer of the Year, Brian Perry!
Brian has split his time twice a week for the last four years in both the Surgical Waiting Room and Lobby Information Desk assisting our patients, their families and our staff. Before retirement, he had a long career of service. Perry served in the U.S. Air Force, Secret Service, and was the Mayor of Leetonia. Shown with Perry is Dr. Anita Hackstedde, SRMC President/CEO.
Thank you, Brian for all you do in service to help our hospital and community.
