Infusion & Other Services

Salem Regional Medical Center’s Cancer and Infusion Center offers regular intravenous (IV) medication for cancer treatment, along with IV therapy for other chronic health conditions not related to cancer, such as:

  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Blood disorders
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Iron deficiency anemia
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoporosis and other bone diseases

Other types of IV infusion services include:

  • Blood and blood product transfusions
  • IV hydration therapy

In addition, the Cancer and Infusion Center offers specialized outpatient treatments that can be scheduled with a physician’s order, including:

►Vaccines to protect against diseases, such as:

  • Cervical cancer caused by human papillomavirus (Gardasil® vaccine)
  • Hepatitis, tetanus or rabies (following initial rabies vaccination in emergency department)

Hours: Monday-Friday, from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

To Schedule: Infusion and/or other services must be scheduled in advance by calling the SRMC appointment desk at 330-332-7300.

Location: The Cancer & Infusion Center is located on Salem Regional Medical Center’s second floor, and can be reached via the East State Street elevated walkway or the hospital’s Main Lobby glass elevator.
